Where should I share my Ask link?
The best places are:

• LinkedIn profile — add it to your About section or as a featured link

Will my link ever expire?
No. Your Ask link is permanent. You paid once and it lives forever at your URL. We don't delete profiles or charge recurring fees.

Choosing your username
How do I choose my username?
When you create your profile, the first step is choosing a username. This becomes your permanent URL — for example, if you choose janesmith, your link will be ask.menoslabs.com/janesmith. We check availability in real time as you type, and suggest alternatives if your first choice is taken.
What characters can I use in my username?
Usernames can contain letters (a–z), numbers (0–9), hyphens (-), and underscores (_). They must be at least 3 characters. Spaces and special characters are not allowed. Usernames are not case sensitive — JaneSmith and janesmith are the same.
What if my username is already taken?
We'll let you know immediately and suggest 3 available alternatives — like janesmith25, janesmith_pro, or a variation with numbers. You can pick one of the suggestions or type a completely different username and check again.
Can I change my username later?
Your username is permanent and tied to your profile — it's the foundation of your shareable link. If you need a change (e.g. after a name change or rebrand), email us at [email protected] and we'll set up a new username and redirect your old URL so nothing breaks for people who already have your link.

Point to your own domain
Can I use my own domain like ask.mysite.com?
Yes — you can point a subdomain of your own domain to your Ask profile. Add a CNAME record in your DNS settings:
Type: CNAME
Name: ask (or any subdomain you want)
Value: ask.menoslabs.com
Then email us at [email protected] with your domain and Ask URL and we'll configure the redirect.
Note: DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate globally.
Which DNS providers does this work with?
It works with any DNS provider — Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, Route 53, and others. The CNAME record process is the same on all of them.

How do I add the chat button to my website?
Add one line of code to your website and a floating "Ask Me" button will appear in the bottom right corner.
Replace YOUR-USERNAME with your username (the part after ask.menoslabs.com/ in your URL).

How do I update my profile with a new job or resume?
You can update your profile yourself anytime — no need to email us.
Go to ask.menoslabs.com/edit, enter your username, and we'll send a verification code to your email. Once verified, you can update your resume and any profile details. Your URL stays the same.

Yes — just email us at [email protected] with your profile URL and the theme you'd like (Classic, Dark, Bold, or Soft). We'll update it within 24 hours.
